Mobile Meat Processing Goes Forward

Thanks to a large group of interested parties...

Last month we were graced with a news piece on KUOW regarding the project to bring USDA inspected meat processing to the South Sound area. Here is the link to that story:

The Request for Proposals was issued last week, and bids are due on Monday September 22nd.

Last week an entourage of us presented the project idea to the Senate Agriculture Committee in Vancouver. The project seems to have been well received, as it should have been, since we were asking for no state funding for a project that will bring real rural economic development. If TVW gets the audio up for that presentation I'll link it here.
